Had trouble with the old generator not working. So I got a new repo from Minisport.
When i fitted and Polarized I still could not get it to generate. Went to my Auto elec he tested and was not working. so I got it out of the car and got him to test it on the bench. he found it operating in reverse when powered up. Have rang tony from Minisport and he is investigating with his supplier. Has anyone had this before.

If it is working in reverse it will only need the Field coil leads swapped around.
The rotation is usually marked on the case. (If it is a Lucas item) -->

Late update,
Mine was all good, regulator needed adjusting. Interestingly regulator was set to original or at least someone put some white paint on the screws to mark adjustment? with the new generator a bit of adjustment on the cut out and regulator coil tension springs where needed. Took me a while to get my head around the circuit and how it works but clear as mud now and all working well.

Maybe Joseph put those paint dots on to show settings had been made and checked by the manufacturer :?:

i also had some issues with my regulator settings. I am running an old one (cracked plastic housing) will have to set a side a weekend to calibrate the new one.
