Hmm, I'll have a look for the number next time I'm out in the garage.

Are there any genuine cars with a black roof? (apart from black cars)

Just had a look through my Non Faked ID plate photos and there are lots of roofs with Toga and Snow White, a few Burgundy Red and Special Burg Red and a Royal Red. Sorry NO BLACK.

Suppose all this ID plate talk doesn't really matter. Transport Depts and Police don't care they only want numbers stamped into the body.

Annoys me but :x

So many people are taken advantage of because of restamping ID plates.

Of course the id plate is fake. No engine number.

Maybe the block had been decked, and that took off the number, so they stamped exactly what was there :?: :)

I tried starting it again, with no luck. Apart from the fuel pump only ticking slowly or eraticly. I filled the fuel bowl on the carby up anyway so that there was fuel there. To me it looks like there is no spark, I haven't had much luck with ingintion side of things before so its kind of got me stumped. Ive cleaned most of the contacts i can find. The dizzy cap seems worn, but I dont have the money to throw new parts at it. So i need to work with what ive got. We are moving in 3 weeks, it would be nice to beable to drive it on to a trailer, but i cant spend much more time on it unfortunately.

Sounds like it might be best to get a Mini person in to check a few things out...either someone on Ausmini who knows what's what or for example...
