hey fellas
the moke has just had new wheel cylinders, four in the front

but alas i think the master's gone
you need to pump about 3 times until he wants to slow down

just wondering the options:

1. resleeve/kit
2. whack on a second hand one from somebody's shed
3. get a new one

what kinda labour/costs are involved

Sure it's bled OK?
Get a new one. Around $110. Less risky. U can fit it..

If there is no air in the lines, and all the pads are adjusted good then check that you have put the springs on the proper way. Could also be the actual drum has had it if you cannot adjust the pad to rub nicely on it.

Did you change the wheel cylinders in the back?? they seem to go more often then the fronts on my minis.

My moke master cylinder has been gone for a year now. I can bleed everything, but the master itself leaks air slowly into the system.

Apparently kits aren't available for my type of cylinder anymore (according to Karcraft and the my mini place).

Been told by the mini place it's 'not worth changing over to a simpler more ready model because the brake lines would all have to be changed' (?)

They did say some guy in nsw made the same model though but for about $300 (again not worth it).

Been bleeding the system about once a month because I'm kind of stuck for options, hope you don't have the same one I do. (i'd post a pic but I'm in a hurry for uni).

steve told me that if it grabs and doesnt sink then i need to adjust and bleed them
and thats pretty much what its doing now, so ill get round to doing that first

Get a bigger rock and a longer piece of string. Then when you need to brake, pick up the rock, throw it over side and hold on.



Anyway... didnt think that the moke was going. Better to get it going before you work out how to make it stop.

OK OK... I know I know... get back to the corner.

If it's the dual circuit MC, Better Brakes (was B & R Brakes) at Blacktown got a kit and fixed Brad's one.
