including a hi flow cat converter,

What year is your car? I'm fairly sure that if it oesn't already have a cat, you don't have to put one in... your exhaust may travel quickly through a high flow, but its faster still when its just straight pipe :P

Minstar is building a Mini rocketship with the ubiquitous Toyota Starlet turbo motor & 5 speed in there, providing (lots of) motive power...
So, he has to have a cat of some sort. Preferably a big mother. :P

The recommended size is 1.78" exhaust to gain maximum power & the original was rc40.

1.78" or 1 7/8"?

I'm thinking the latter, though what's 0.95" between friends

Seriously, I think it's 1 7/8" coz I think you'd get blank stares asking for some 1.78" exh. tube

Thanks for filling everyone in Doc, yeah Starlet motor equals cat required. This has prob been covered before but cat is required if engine had cat irrespective of age of vehicle in which it resides ie 1994 Starlet engine in 5/71 Clubman...Also may have solved my Hi Lo problem   :D
