Found this the other day. Not sure of the year, taken in Pt Augusta either heading to Perth or up to Alice Springs.

Great photo, I've seen a few photos of the Mini being transported like this. 15 cars on one truck, not bad!

They must have used an elevated platform to load/unload.

Ya think? possible...but

This in the days of manual loading (whether the Minis were auto or not!)...a convenient earth bank, loading dock or railway siding/platform? sure...

But I can imagine wooden planks being used here and the cars being driven into place  8)

I heard that train was headed for Alice but it was stopped by rain, the truck was unloaded and parked in a large shed. The shed doors were welded up and the truck is still sitting there 50 years later with all 15 minis loaded up ready to deliver...

It's true. Problem is the shed is on land that's subject to native title and is sacred so only accessible by the traditional indigenous owners. That's why it hasn't come to light previously. It's secret men's business.

Further urban legend has it that this was tried once before, which led to a server meltdown.
A spooky side to this is that the Donate button in the top right of the screen was permanently altered to include the funny bracket things.
The person who did it never played with the code again.....
