Hey guys, I'm not a rodchange Clubby person (too old) so bear with me here.
I need to remove the pot joint inner spider and cage from 2 shafts so I can fit them into 2 new pot joints.

Is there an easy way (eg hit with BFH like a CV), or do I need to make a puller as shown in the Leyland book?

I've never needed any real force.
Just remove the circlip and they slide apart.

How do you remove the circlip when it is on the inside?

Just give the inner spider a hit with a soft drift. They normally come off pretty easily

Thanks guys, I gave them a tap with my BIG lumpa brass and they slid off.
Easier than expected. :)

Same as CV joints. They either come off easily with a big hammer or won't budge until destroyed by the same big hammer. ??
