Hi guys and girls,
I am having distributor issues, had been sitting 20 yrs and when I went to change points the thread for the screw is totall stuffed for the body of the distributor. The whole thing looks like it has seen better days. Qu is I see minisport sell a complete distributor with cap, rotor ect for $115 new. It is the same as mine except mine dosent have a vacuum advance. Will this still work and I just hook the vacuum advance up to the carb where it is blocked off?
Cheers,
Steve

Yes your dizzy can be replaced as a whole, only thing to watch is that the advance curve is specific for your engine.

Again, this is quite easy if your engine is a more or less low tune (stock) configuration.

Dizzies are available in most of the original styles.

Look at Accuspark or Powerspark Ignition

Awesome , just ordered a stock replacement with vacuum advance and the hose to go with it.
Cheers,
Steve
