It seems a typical story.

Mini's had a place in my life when I was younger. The passion subsided somewhat but the interest remained. You grow older and the passion returns so I purchase a MK1 Mini cooper S and suddenly it takes over your life!

Now I am trying to chase down its past and would appreciate any thoughts on where to start. So far I know it is about a Mar 1967 model "born" in Queensland and from what I can gather spent its life there till I transported it down to Melbourne earlier this year.

It is SHADOW BLUE with a white roof.

It spent the last 10 or so years being restored in QLD by a fellow who ran a restoration business. He acquired the car from a local who wanted him to restore it but the price was too great and subsequently sold it to the restorer.

That's all I know so hopefully someone in QLD (or otherwise) will be able to shed some light on its past

It would make it easier to identify if you had any build details available.
