I ticked Weber, but it's a Dellorto 45DHLA, Weber clone...
Webers & Dellortos do go OK on smallbores, if you can stand the noise..!

Pops has a standard asthmatic 1 1/4" SU
JAM has twin 1 1/4" SU's on LYNX manifold

Using a 1 1/2 SU on the van now. I have played with a DGV weber on Geminis etc with good results in the past. So I recently picked up a 32DIR weber progressive downdraft to try, which ios basically a smaller version of a DGV. It came off a 1400-1600cc renault. Choke sizes (fixed) are about right for my modded 1132cc according to Vizard. I just have to find a manifold. So far I have only turned up ones designed for a Nikki carb (stock Jap car carby).

Mopoke the Auto-Moke will have a 1 3/4 SU or maybe a set of twin 1 1/4s. Probably the twins for extra torque.

Classic twins ONLY for the Traveller.

How different is the mounting of the DGV to a DFM? On our old Gemini we made a conversion bracket to put a 32DFM on the standard Nikki manifold. Problem with the Mini, that conversion bracket would probably add too much height

Anyway, I'm with the Dell'orto crowd. The only thing wrong with them is they're not called 'Weber', and the term Weber, like Cooper S, adds value and speed. Our Gemini with the 32DFM Weber, added fuel, a lot of it, and not much else. Jets? What are they?

Yes, that's exactly why I haven't used an adaptor plate. Plus the fact that it would cause restrictions.

Used an adptor plate on my Gemini too, but I hogged out the standard inlet to make a better port match with the weber.

DGV and DFM have the same mounting spacing. So do most downdraught progressive webers.

Anonymous moderation means the agro that is built up towards the mods isn't aimed at an individual (fewer "Makk" attacks). Less stress for mods means less moderator "retirements".

Because the motor is only really sucking alternately on the twins. Each pot sees a 1-1/4, whereas with a single (big) carb each pot sees a 1-3/4".
That's the theory anyway. Personally I reckon HIF44s are a POS to tune so Barney is getting some nice `old skool' twin HS4s.. Thanks, baracade!
