We have been cruising around NZ this last week through Auckland, Tauranga, Gisbourne and today Wellington but so far only spotted a single mini in Tauranga? While it was a nice one it would be nice to see a few more, are they really that scarce down here or are we just unlucky?

Here is the beauty we found (while I have phone service :) )

Not many are daily drivers these days. Mostly tucked up in garages

I found the same in UK during a visit back in 2011.
In 3 weeks we saw about 3 Minis- 1 on Orkney Is, 1 in Scotland and 1 in Ireland.
They come out for shows etc, hardly any are driven daily. They all drive BINIs instead.

It's getting that way here too, not may daily driven roundies now.

When I was in Europe a few years ago the most I saw were in Belgium, and a couple in Paris. I don't remember seeing any in London funnily enough!

I was in NZ in October this year and saw a "Red Bull" promo car round nose running around in Auckland.
I couldn't get a pic but it was a UK bodied car with the Red Bull can on the roof.
One in Christchurch, now a city of car parks. The demolished building sites now all seem to be car parks.
One in Greymouth and one along the "Forgotten World Golf Cart" closed railway line, but it was a bit tired looking.

There are plenty around. Pukekohe must have the greatest population to mini ratio in NZ. There are plenty on the streets.
