On one of the three float bowl screws.

Also - here is a photo of the aftermarket tags that can be purchased from Burlen. I bought a set when doing up a set of MK1 carbs and they look nothing like the originals.

Some time ago I mentioned the different font to Adam Bressington (SU Midel - http://www.sumidel.com/index.html) and I think he said he had the original style stamps so could re-stamp blank tags for an authentic look.
Has anyone here purchased tags recently in the correct font?

Can't seem to find them on the website?

Thanks[/quote] They are the correct numbers for your car. Do you have the AEG573 manifold and thin Smiths PCV valve?

Yes, have them at present thanks.
Thanks for the photo comparison however i should be ok with originals.

You may find them on fleaBay, but, you realise that the Carbs will no longer be original and any prospective new owner should be informed of this change :!:

.....but the carbs will still be the original ones/type used!. 8) ..lets not go down this road again

WOW.. thread revival.

Wrong the carbs will be the original ones, they came with the car. A previous owner lost the tags.

So when a car is restored should I tell them, that the carpet isnt the original or should I tell them the oil filter has been changed, or should I tell them the nos light units are not the originals, if I replace a GT oil cooler hose with another GT hose, do I tell them? Where does it stop?

I go to the Mazda dealer to get the tyres pumped on my wifes Mazda3. I wouldn't want to risk using non genuine air.

It is important to get the correct Mazda Hiroshima air, it has the correct level of radioactivity.

We have a joke at work when carrying out the pre-delivery inspections when it comes to setting the tyres to correct psi from transit psi. 'Smelly (insert country) air' is the term that usually gets used.

They're from an early mk2 (mk1.5 to some) so may be yet another case of parts bin craziness..

Mine appear to be the same including a MK1 air cleaner

Do you have a Mk2 manifold and carburettors. The casting numbers will say what they are.
