Just wondering if anyone has bought/used a repro bonnet in the past and it was a bad fit
As in the shape didn't follow the guard shape and sat lower than the guard when closed and resting on the bump rubbers

Can anyone show me how good your bonnet sits in regards to the shape of the guards and along the front when closed

Usually when fit along the front is bad, it's because the front panel has had a minor hit sometime in the past.
Ditto if match to the guards is poor (my car, LH guard) the guard has probably been biffed in front.

There is no evidence of panel damage
its more like a bad reproduction bonnet being fitted

I recently purchased a non-genuine bonnet from Northern Mini and it seems to fit pretty well. He sold it to me pretty cheap so I was a little worried it was a reject.

I was told (and being a novice I believe) that as the cars were hand made/welded that with a lot of replacement panels there may need to be some tweaking so they fit correctly.

The picture attached shows the bonnet but it is just sitting there and hasn't been properly fitted, the gaps looked pretty good.
