IMHO Clubbies are rare as  and I would jump on this one..

ha ha. If its the one that I am thinking it is, its not a damn bad buy at all. The owner takes damn good care of it, and his dad is an ace mechanic.

I am getting 10% sales commission on the sale too... OMG did I just say that out loud... ha ha

in all seriousness though, I would buy it. If you dont think its worth the price, negotiate. Get it to a price you are happy with.... no rocket science there.

hard to say mate, but really it is so dependant on condition. the things
i always look for in a mini when buying it is that it has
1. no rust
2. no knocking CV joints
3. good steering rack
4. some one that loves their car (hence they will have looked after it)

but if you have a good vibe about a person, just go with that i guess, good luck,
but really these days i dont think that $5k is completely unreasonable for a tidy clubby,
but thats just my opinion

I wouldnt worry too much about rust. Rust is easy fixed. Check the floor pan and subframes. If they are good, then its 95% of the car OK.
