Hi Ausminiers,

Happy new year to you all, I hope 2016 is a great one.

The BMC sign you see below belonged to a fellow Ausmini member Mark Broadhead (mkb1275) who's start to 2016 was a devastating, accidental shed fire which damaged or destroyed many of his collectable cars, race minis and memorabilia like this dealer sign.

Some of you may know Mark, he is legend in Mini circles, he is generous with his time, he is passionate about minis and selfless in helping out fellow mini lovers.

I call out to you all if you are able to help or suggest how I can replace a BMC Rosette dealer sign like the one in the photo below. Your help or ideas of any sort would be gratefully appreciated to help Mark rebuild some of what he has lost.

Thank you.

Chris

I have 2 originals that i have restored as a reference rather than an outright 'solution'
If the frames are singed then at least with some sandblasting and paint they hopefully wont have to be remade because there is a fair bit in them. There are 3 fluros in the sign.
It would be necessary to make a buck to form the two perspex signs. It has three complex curves in each side.
I could have the art reproduced and screen printed.
The issue will be of course what insurance value he has to work with.

Chris

Was up there again today.

I have been chasing an original for some time.
Have found a guy with two..one damaged but said to Mark if I get it, its his.
Maybe a start to get the rebuild going.....

May have some Catalina & Amaroo stuff too for him and some Manton gear.
Won't help re the cars that were lost but its a start.

There was one of those signs for sale a couple of years ago at Taralga, I'm not sure who the seller was but I have a feeling it might have been Rick Hopkins Car Museum.

Get on to Ron Williams of Tenterfield. He has one. Might be of some help.
