Hi All,
How is the rear side trim held in place on a 1962 Aussie assembled 850.
Do they use the stainless steel strip riveted in place as per the later Mini's (as per white car in photo), or is it mild steel welded in place and painted body colour as per the Red car (which was once white)?

Any more comments on this?
Was the 850 trim retaining strip welded or riveted in?

I cut up a 62 850 about a fortnight ago. I still have some of the back section I should be able to answer your question from.

Dont think i will get around to looking at it until the weekend though
