Attempted to fit some new head light bowl retaining speed nuts and the holes in the replaced front guards are small and round, not square and larger as required by the speed nuts. What have others done??

I'm famous! Yeah I filed them out (as was suggested by a forum member) post-paint and put a few dabs of POR15 on there to protect them. Then bought the square plastic speed nuts from from Supercheap (which was also suggested by a forum member...who would have thought they are so readily available!)
