Anybody needs some screw type hoseclamps as pictured above, I have 3 here. They would need replating.

Utilux No H510 and 1 1/4" diameter. They are very hard to find. The change over was 67/68 from the wire clamps.

Aftermarket ones are made for the Ford and Holden guys but they are either too big or small and have a thicker section of metal between the straps.

Edit- H510 in the catalogue above are different to the ones used on our cars. The correct clamps have raised edges to retain the nut instead of a single tab

Great information many thanks!!

bit of a hint for you all . . .

I work in printing. We scrapped a Harris collator stitcher a few years back. All the air hoses had these clamps on them and were common for any 60's/70's printing equipment. We also sold a 4 colour press recently for scrap for $9- - it was worth about $2k in scrap metal alone.

So if you know anyone in printing who has any old presses or die cutters, plattens etc, offer to "upgrade" their old hose clamps for their useless old clamps they might still have on there. I managed to grab a few of various sizes, but now wished I had grabbed more ! Basically, these old presses are no longer wanted or needed, so they are being scrapped
