Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a 1977 998 LS and am trying to figure out what this paint code is as it doesn't match what I thought factory codes were??
Any advice/help would be appreciated

Hello "pinkjam",
The colour code on your plate is a Dulux number for repair matching. 562 is the paint type (acrylic lacquer) then the colour formula. I don't know whether Dulux is PPG or what their name is now but they were able to still mix colours to their formulas. Most other paint brands/suppliers no longer have cross-referenced formulas for mini colours.
There have been some useful discussions about colour formulas and matchings on this forum if you use the "search" bar at bottom of each page.

I'm just trying to figure out the colour formula because I thought 998 LS came out with specific ones and the iridium was 562-17329 I thought. My mini is green but the code doesn't match what I thought it should be so now I'm confused

Why the hell they posted upside down!

Looks good , not sure why upside down lol yes the gold stripes look good , mine are original as it's the original paint except for the bootlid , mine has no rust in it at all , very unusual but it's always in the garage

Wish my 1275LS had been painted that colour. I like it more than the original Nugget gold it was painted and more than the Ford Blueprint the PO put on it that it still wears..

Hmm maybe an option for a respray??
