Hi guys,

I am 17 and just got my first mini. ITS SO EXCITING AND FUN TO DRIVE!!

Its a 1976 Mini Clubman SS, and is painted in a pearl, but is getting resprayed due to the rust on it getting cut out and the paint to hard to match.

I want to get the front seats reupholstered as they are torn and i am just wondering if anyone has got them done in Melbourne, Vic and can recommend some businesses?

Also has anyone made and put in a dash face in the clubman?
If you have, Do you happen to have some plans i can have?

If i have done this wrong or it is in the wrong section, please tell me so i can improve.
Also if anyone else has an Clubman SS, i would love to see what my mini should look like and have.

Welcome to the board!

The Mini Experience Magazine (now BMC Experience) has done an article on the SS, you can see the brief summary at the link below.

There is a copy on eBay if you want to get one...

Welcome to the forum clubman75.

I just got my seats retrimmed by Melbourne Trimming in Newport and was happy with the work and the price was OK too. Check out my thread if you want to see them (link below). I have also heard good things about Straight line motor trimming in Bayswater but have not used therm myself. There are lots of options for dash's do I did a quick a search on here for and it came up with a few threads, check them out.

Well, a Mini SS was a 1976 model, not 1975. Check your compliance plate, it will be stamped Mini SS and have the month/year on it - like this one:

Mine was brown (Nutmeg was the paint name) but sadly is long gone:

By the way, rust was a prominent feature of the SS, even when I bought mine and they were just ten years old.
