I was the same as you Simon, i never run a filter on my S for years, but i decided to
fit one after the elec fuel pump, ( inside the subframe ) when we were going to do the
Rylstone run . I thought that if i was ever going to have a fuel problem , this was when
it was going to happen .

I run a 45 Dellorto, I use a Purolator glass filter up at the carby.

Be careful running a filter in the suction line before the pump, it wants to be a big one there (bigger than the Ryco) to avoid flow restriction.
On Barney I used an EA Ford one inside the subframe.

I don't think a SU electric pump will fit through the main jet, unless you take the pipe fittngs off :lol:
