I've got my new (SH) shocks in the back and it's now handling like i expect a mini to handle...

So I took him for a "quick" run this morning and as i went the old boy just got smoother and smoother.. a right royal dusting of the cobwebs

so now i'm back, after 3 hours

something i've noticed as a result of this mornings effort is that on long sweeping (quickish) left hand turns there seems to be a small amount of play in the steering... there's about an inch of turn before anything decent starts to happen and it doesn't seem to have much fedback as a similar right turn does.

and on a heavy left turn, i can hear a creaking from the rear right.. the shocker that i removed from there yesterday was totally cactus.

what's going on mini brains?


edit.. i should've taken my camera too.. it was a nice tour..

on the road into balhannah, something happened that i've been keen to experience since getting the mini...

i found myself with a rather impatient honda crv behind me (same model as mine) so i sped up... and he did too...good... i've wanted to compare this for a while.... and it was great... it took about 2 corners and then he backed off

i've sussed the noise....(well ... had it sussed for me)

it's wheels scrubbing against the shocks...

there's about a bees dick width between the tyre and the shock

it's all good... just gotta learn to balance the car better in cornering..
