by dash do you mean the vinyl backing on the firewall &bottom of the parcel shelf or a dash piece that holds two gauges? why not just drill only two holes if its to hold a gauge?

no, its the holes that house the speedo and fuel gauge etc.
instead of making the dash in 2 bits, i want to just have the one board with the 2 holes cut out, removing the cluster housing, i can do it the hard way and measure it up myself, but was hoping that someone has done it in the past.

I have all the tools and stuff if you want to bring a chunk of wood to make one at mine. Not sure what garage space you have or what tools you have.

This is how the one i did turned out....

we started on the template last night, will hopefully start to "build" it on saturday, but if we get stuck i might head over, he is at kates place now, in the undercover car park, but so far so good, pretty sure we have all the tools, if not its just another excuse to head to bunnings which is about a 5 minute walk!! its awesome!

Use the above for the outline and cut your hole in the centre
