G'day,
Refreshing an older thread instead of starting a new one and would like some advice please about which timing light to buy in case there are newer ones or different ones on the market now.
In Minnie, the little 850 has a 25D distributor and I'm running electronic ignition in it. I have a set of points etc in the boot in case the electronic module fails but so far so good. All else being equal, I'll stick to electronic ignition in the future.
When the motor was rebuilt, the bloke who did it said not to worry about the vacuum advance and just blank it off. So that's how it's been since and I've done about 3,500 miles in it.
When I first got her on the road, I has a Mini specialist do the initial tuning (timing, mixtures etc) and up until now, I haven't changed any of those settings but I thought I'd check the ignition timing just to see if it's still ok. Hence the need for a timing light.
Earlie in this thread, the Innova 5568 or Innova 3568 seems to be the most common. There was also mention of the Innova Equus and from what I can find, it looks like the 5568 and 3568 are Equus ones.

After I get a light, there's a fair chance I'll be starting a thread on how to check the timing if I get into trouble
Thanks Rocky
