So riding down to supercheap this morning was ****ing freezing but I picked up the filter and headed back.
Felt like a dick putting a $2 filter on eftpos, but today was payday and I hadn't been to an atm yet. Sspent all my change yesterday on a condensor.
Got home and switched them over. Wasn't happy with the way it was sitting (or the prev one for that matter) so I reached into my patented box'o'crap and pulled out a hose of similar size and cut it slightly longer. Happy that it was sitting vertical I turned it over and immediately realised that the carby wasn't as loud as it usually is with the filter off, and the intake sounded a lot more consistent.
With a smile already on my face I jumped in and took it for a spin. It purred along great, better then I've ever had it since fitting the extractors/exhaust.
Next job: buying a MC kit and fixing up that leaky brake MC

.
Big thanks to everyone that helped along the way. I'm sure someone out there knows how i'm feeling now, almost a week without a car and in the end it was a $2 fix. Hell I've learnt more then my monies worth along the way though

.
Can't stop smiling

.
I'll move back onto the clubbie later in the arvo. I'll have pics of the oil leak up later today.
