when i first got my daily driver the rad was blocked i didnt know much about cars at all back then it blew a head gasket and i limped it to Matts he got the rad scewed and cleaned after that i have never driven a cooler car never ever gets close to too hot
i think its dependent on the shop how much time they take with it

Well, it mightn't be, IF the rad place takes both the tanks off, acid dips it and rods the cores out properly..
But often on an old rad the core is not worth this trouble due to external damage etc.


I used to have a workshop and had to get radiators fixed every day. You could count on one finger the number of times it was possible to rod and clean a radiator. The stuff sets like cement by the time the problems become evident. Labour costs make it non viable and a recore or nrw radiator is cheaper and better. I bet you couldn't get a recore for the price Karcraft are selling them for. Are they being made in China?

David, I've passed an enquiry to Greg at Karcraft, he is checking whether 12 or 16 gills/inch. They do come from UK, he's pretty sure they are UK or at least EEC made. :wink:
