Just trying to find out how much difference there is between the weight of the van and saloon. I know the deluxe is listed as 630kg, there can't be too much difference but I can't find it listed in my books.

Anyone have an idea?

I think that the weight of a van is about 615kg but I am unsure doc would know and most other people with vans might be able to tell you but I am preety sure it is 615kg

I think that they would be making allowances for all the extra weight the Van could be carrying in its cargo area compared to a sedan boot - [only a guess]

You're probably right whodat.

Were the vans hydro or rubber cone?

All vans/utes/estates were dry suspended (from the factory anyway!)

I believe Van's were rubber cone..

They're also heavier than sedan's..don't believe haynes

According to my original owners manual (Mk1 '67 model Van)

Van = 1390 lbs = 630.4933943 kilograms.

Cooper S = 1411 lbs = 640.01883407 kilograms

Moke = 1255 lbs = 569.25842435 kilograms

De Luxe = 1435 lbs = 650.90505095 kilograms

I actually have a (registered+accurate) weigh bridge at home, maybe I should use it...

Yea, weight them, would be good to know...

My van was 660kg on the weighbridge in 2000, but that was with added weight of a wood dash, extra gauges, carpet etc etc.

A bit out of topic but the Van weight is very comparable to my 1200 ute at 670kg
