Hey Guys

Was going to wait until Monday but really wanna make a start. Anyone possibly wanna come help rip engine out tomorrow (Sunday 14th) Arvo??

Will put on BBQ/beer for the helpers!!

I don't wanna get EVERYTHING done, just rip the engine out and if there's time either seperate it from the box or take the head off to try and get an idea of what's wrong.

sorry Bob, I got family stuff to do tomorrow.

I may be tempted, I have to do a few things to mine tommorow, working on a loose steering arm/swivel hub issue and I was planning to replace my rubber cones and install my hi-lo's...

We'll see how I go

I've gotta take my daughter to see "Dorothy the Dinosaur" this morning, and take the missus to the markets. These kinds of things are important as I will be spending a large amount of time/money on the Mini in the next couple of weeks!!!

No Probs

Got it out, and have managed to get use of car tomorrow.
Haven't even taken head off yet - will take to mates workshop at merrylands tomorrow and see what the major mulfunction is

I'm really hoping it's a broken piston rather than crank or rod as I would hope that would do less internal damage to the block???

Anywho if anyone's interested or If anyone (Read Dr Mini) can help with advice once prognosis is available I will update tomorrow when it's apart.

I just hope whatever's happened to the engine has stayed in the engine and not destroyed my nice newly rebuilt gearbox!!!!!!
