Precisely what I did this arvo :wink: PLUS I bought a new pair of BLUE springs for the carbs. Just in case.....

go find your 1.5 su borrow its needle and use the hif :) sorted

It is a standard 998cc Clubby needle.....it would be too lean, just like the one in the HIF.

Speaking of standard....I found out this arvo that JAM's HS2 needles (AN) are standard 1098 Sprite needles :lol: No wonder it's down on power!
