I need to replace my bleeder nipple off my 7.5 disks, as the current one is rounded off. I know its a 3/8 head on it, just wondering if anyone knows the length, thread size as the fellas at the brake place want me to bring in a sample. But this would mean i cant drive there and would have to drain all the fluid out too.
any one got a photo of one off the brakes?
cheers
shane

The one's on mine are 3/4 of an inch from start of thread to the tip, and have a 3/8 UNF thread and a 7/16 hex on them. This seems a bit wierd as yours have a 3/8? hex on them!

Why cant you drive the car to the brake place and let them sample the nipple that is already in the caliper. One look and they will know what size it is and if they have one in stock then they will replace it. Get them to replace the other side as well.

You may loose a small bit of brake fluid and they will probably want to give the disks a quick bleed to replace the fluid but this is something that should be done on a bimonthly basis anyway.

You watch any racing team - amateur or pro, the never go onto the track without fresh fluid in the calipers. Bleed them everytime they go onto the track.

went there today, they would,nt even look at the one in the car. They needed it out for them to compare. Lazy bastards is all i got to say. And they were so helpful last time. Anyone know of a brake joint around this neck of the woods open on a saturday? Karcraft also told me i would not be able to find a new nipple for them anywhere. Has anyone else found them before? Thanks for the measurements Pete, maybe i've got my numbers muddled up, will double check tomorrow.
