To test the master cylinder....

1) Take the bleeder screw out of the slave cyl and stick it into the outlet of the master cylinder.
2) Bleed the master cylinder.

You should have a solid pedal. :wink:
If you have any movement you have a problem with the master cylinder.

ok i went and purchased a new slave cylinder got home fitted it and all is now working as it should and the clutch has never felt better

ok people will some one explain this to me
after all the recent headaches with this damn clutch
it was working fine till this morning get in the car all of about a 1/4 clutch

it has new master cylinder
new slave cylinder
new flexi hose
has been bleed properly
has new clutch and pressure plate

and all of the best mechanical bits i had avalible to me at the time

yours truly frustrated..Peter.

Just a couple of questions, have you adjusted the 7/16 return stop and do you have a return spring on the the slave cylinder and just one more does the pedaal pump up on the second pump

i havent checked the stop this morning as yet and the pedal doesnt seem to improve buy pumping it

will have a good look a little later today
