Carb I think is the basic , late 70's 1 1/2 (h number I don't know off hand) and the head is 78ish pollution head with the threaded holes for the pollution control airpump . No idea on valve sizes or which head exactly , if you take the rocker cover off somewhere on the casting there will be a 12G number and we can tell more from that .

Pollution (aka `smog') heads-
smallbores all had 1.090" inlets and 1.000" exhausts,

1275s all had 1.313" inlets and 1.156" exhausts (head casting # 12G1316).

Standard HS4 carb (1 1/2") and standard 998 'SMOG' head.

BTW......aren't there any grub screws in those holes? If not, how does it run without them? :?

The 4 holes in the front of the head below the spark plugs , these were used to allow air into the exhaust ports and therefore dilute the exhaust so there was lass percentage of pollution being produced (Yeah , they were clutching at straws ...) . These should be blocked , normally they have grub screws in them , otherwise it'll blow exhaust gas out the front and make a lot more noise . Are there any grub screws in them , can't see clear enough from the pics ?

No - no grub screws, look like rubber inserts in each hole, a couple have holes in the rubber inserts - is this bad should i put screws in to block the holes ?

Yeah , put screws or very short bolts into them otherwise you'll be getting a lot of fumes in the engine bay coming back into the cabin .

most likely not , after all , all you'll be doing is blocking some potentially leaking exhaust gases .
