So we'll have to linish my set fairly well. :)

Just oval the 2 holes in top of cover forward by 1mm or so, then push the cover back. 8)

Here's the Corolla rockers mounted on Barney's 1293 motor. Sorry about the lighting..
Check the valve lift.... cam is a Tighe or Wade 104, normally has only around .320" valve lift with stock rockers. 8)

Love the colour on the motor too.

Couple of pics of Corolla rockers-
Note the end-on view in pic 2 is an optical illusion- these rockers DO clear the alloy cover! 8)
No... I'm not using the gasket shown in pics...

Started the bastard today, man it sounds cammy at idle with this Tighe/Wade 104 cam! Not driven it yet, tomorrow is the day..... :P
Only running a single HS4 off the old 998/1098, until I overhaul and Bling! the twin HS4s.

So, any updates on this topic??? Happy with the outcome?

Is is safe for me to print page 1 off and send the details to a machinist for fabrication???

SC,
Yep, the prototype set has been running now in Barney for months. No problems. Bushes are not wearing either.

BTW, these rocker bushes are made from LG2 bronze bar, I bought it from Bohler Steel.

I'm about to make a few more sets for people..
This time I'll make new rocker posts, out of 25x50 steel bar.

Details on p1 are still pretty correct, so go for it. 8)
Don't just turn the rocker posts around- they are too thin then when the holes are drilled out for the head studs. Not enough clamping area...
Make new ones- move the shaft holes back 4.0-4.1mm.
The rocker width needs to be reduced on the side where the oil hole is, by 0.140". Finished width is 0.625".

<edit> sizes updated.

Making these new rocker posts from scratch is an awful lot of work, and they perform no better than a set of stock posts with the holes relocated.
So in future that's how I'm doing them, again. 8)
I've had my original set on Barney's 1293A+ now for over 12 months, they are going great. Good power to 7000 with the Tighe/Wade 104 cam and twin HS4s.

Yes I've had a set on Ha-Ha for years.
Still going great. They do have a little more lift than the Corollas.
I'm running them in the 1360 with an RE282 cam, valve lift is about <edit> 0.492" inlet, 0.485" exhaust.

Thanks Doc'-Going to fit a set on the 1380.
I heard that they don't wear the rocker ball as fast as other 1.5
