If you are wondering about the engine I used here is a little info.
Donor 1988 Suzuki Forsa Turbo
Cylinders 3
Valves 6
Displacement 1.0l (993 cc)
Horsepower 70hp @5100rpm
Torque 107 ft.lbs @3500 rpm
Compression 8.3:1
Fuel System EPI - Multi point electronic petrol injection (MPI)
Turbocharger Spec RHB32 Parts 3T501 with intercooler
Gearbox 5 speed manual
My particular donor did not have a/c but it was available on others. 150 hp is possible without going to crazy. 200+ is possible with some major mods.
I converted the cable operated clutch to use the stock Mini master cylinder and slave cylinder.

Hope this helps, if you have any more questions I'd be happy to answer them if I can.

Puts out about 62hp with 50kgs less weight

I think this is about as compact as you can get it.

Image

hyabusa based but with reverse gear

prices are steep but not ridiculous.

cheapest option is under thousand UKP butyou will have to supply a donor engine. but they can supply a new 1300 stock as well. 205 HP/130lbs/ft.

Up to a full bonkers 1300 turbo with upto 340 HP

but it can be chain linked to a torque biasing LSD..or gear driven. but that would be harder to place..

the ram air box is a bit too much so maybe you only get 180HP

Oh they make a V8 too..88 kg dry weight !!

Seriously, i know alot of people just throw questions arond without truly considering it, but how about you learn a bit more about basic engine stuff, rather than jumping straight in at the top of the list.

It's evident in your questions that you don't really know what your talking about (i mean why are you even asking about power steering and a/c?) and that's fine, asking questions is the way to learn, but it seems like even the foundation isn't there to teach you, it's like trying to make you run when you havn't even taken a step.

Yeah I would have to agree with Mini Mad, try sourcing a 1275 drop it in the engine bay and work on the engine a bit and I think you will become aware just how difficult a process an full non BMC/Austin engine conversion is. Most of the guys on here doing conversion I would suggest have at least a few years of stuffing around with the A series and cars in general before attempting this conversion.

Cheers

Matt
