ok its come to the shell work.. for people who can answer this question.. should i get Gravity fed or Suction Fed Spray guns.... or one for basecoat and one for topcoat ?

I think a sunction gun is OK for baswork, but would definetly recommend a gravity gun for top coat.

What difference do you notice when using the top feed?

Its not so much finish, although you can generally get a better flow, rather the gun can be moved a greater angle from vertical when spraying. This means you can spray more easily into this awkward places.

yeah I would buy a gravity feed, star guns have the reputation (and the price to go with it) for my car I used a Fragram gravity feed (about $100) was a great deal easier to handle and better control than a suction feed even as an amatuer I could see they were better

A gravity feed HVLP with a pressure regulator on the handle. Works well for me, but I'm no expert painter. :)

cheers for the help people... im looking on ebay now.. i really have a lot to spend on gear.. but i was gonna get one for primer and basecoat.. and one for topcoat...

Don't be silly. You don't need separate guns. Your technique as a beginner will affect the quality of the job far more than the gear.

Did you read the article posted?
