how good do you want the finnish?
if you wnt easy, spray it with enamal, really really easy to spray...(hides behind a door and awaits abuse  )
but seriously, its so, so easy to spray, no need to mess arround with clear, and once its on, its on.
(peeks arround edge of door)
yes, it has its downsides too!

What do you use to mask off parts of the car when you are using different colored paints on the car?
like when using white on the roof and blue on the car, which color do you paint first, how long do oyu wait before you do the next color, nd what do you use the mask off the sections of the car you dont want the second color to go onto?

Don't forget acrylic does'nt come shiny off the gun, it has to be rubbed down & buffed to get a deep finish in it, its very easy to burn the paint whislt buffing it, 666 you seem to think its going to be cheap & easy to get a show quality finish, you are very wrong indeed.

i did mine with acrylic, it was first painted black then had 4 coats of blue/purple pearl (of my own receipe) clear coat, then another 4 coats of straight clear, only did this coz it was free and i had all the spray gear at my work, still gotta cut back a few (read most) of the panels still

im with doogie on this one,
acrylic paint isint easy to get a good finish with, i sprayed an austin 1300 over summer and its fairly average, im assuming you are painting this one black still? black paint is literally the king of darkness (the father of mr lucas and Mr Brian Warner (im sure you know who i mean)) apart from showing up every little scratch and dent that hasent been taken out, everytime you point the gun the wrong way, or hold a little long, BAM, it smacks you in the face. not freindly stuff. especially dificult on large panels such as the roof (easy to get streaks)
ok thats my rant, im about o go buy some white ppg dulon for my alfa bumper..

2pk spay is very bad for you, but so long as ou wear a proper mask you'll be ok..pref get an air fed mask...and also if you dont use a oven when you use 2pk you'll actually get more of a glossy finish....true
wouldnt recomend using black paint because it shows up every crap detail on the car, acrylic paint is fine but as other people have said if you want a gloss finish you'll have to do lots of clear coats.
drying times vary, but acrylic paint can dry in 5 mins in warm weather, 2pk takes ages and thats why people use baking ovens...takes about 2 days to dry normal (non oven)
are you sanding the car back or just going to paint it up?

Spray it with WD 40, will stop surface rust developing.
