with the oil groove there seems to be 4 peices, two rings the std oil thing that goes between them and this 7 sided thingo ?

the seven sided thingo iv neve seen befor


help how does it go together, ill upload a pic if it dont make any sence

On 1100 and 998 Hastings rings, the 7 sided thing is a spring. It goes in first. DON'T LEAVE IT OUT.
Then the centre piece goes in.
Then the 2 oil scraper rings go each side of that. :wink:
Should be instructions in the box....

It's hard to get the oil rings wrong, but watch which way up the compression rings go. Read the instructions... then check the rings, carefully.
