Well, normally no, but that all depends on how low you want the car to be.
If you dont customise the rear arches, the car will need to have a minimum of 80mm between the tyre and the wheel arch for suspension travel........ which is pretty high and a bit unsightly. BUT, if the tyre DOES hit the arch when moving upwards, you will crack the wheel arch or even break some off.
The fibreglass arches are designed to sit flush against the panel on both the top (seen) edge and underneath the arch aswell (against the lip on the steel panel), which means that the tyres can not physically travel up into the wheel arch.
It IS possible to modify the arches though, by cutting off the underside of the arches and cutting away the steel panel aswell, which will allow a 13x5.5 or possibly a 13x6 wheel and tyre combo to come up under the arch during suspension travel. But a 13x7 wheel will be too wide to do this, and will basically hit the outer-most edge of the guard.
The modification to the rear arch and steel panel is a compicated one, because you have 2 steel panels to modify: the outer skin AND the curved inner guard (which is the arm rest for the back seat passengers). By cutting off the rear lip, the outer panel is no longer connected to the inner guard... you will need to weld a steel strip back in at the new height to join the 2 panels together again.
Which means, it is an "interior out" "fuel tank out"and possibly "respray the panels" kinda job.
Having said that, if you dont mind having the car a bit jacked up, you wont need to cut anything on the rear arch.
