Hello,

POR15 comes in a kit with 100Mls of anti rust coating. How many 100Ml tins do I need to do 2 coatings (at least) of the entire firewall and some dide bits of the engine bay?

Cheers

Probably 1 or 2 is enough. It's pretty easy to overestimate how much you need. And once you get some out, you can put the unused portion back in the tin.

Are you brushing on?

Yes I plan to brush it on.

I want to use the Tie Coat primer as well, sand it back then spray colour matched enamel over the top. I think this is all I need to do?

Chong you need the marine clean and metal ready too before you paint.

You don't really need the tiecoat, just sand with 600 and then you can paint over it.

Also DO NOT pour the paint back into the tin (i have though - more of a do as i say not do as i do), the instructions for the paint say never to pour any unused paint back into the tin or to ever get any water near the paint in the tin.

I have painted half of my firewall, used bugger all paint.

Make sure you read the instruction at least twice too

According to my brochure, (p eight) 1.0L covers 10M2. So 100mL will cover 1M2:wink:

WTF does this forum's US software give you a smiley instead of the number eight.. it pisses me off).
