hey guys just wondering whether a 1978 mini would have the wet or dry suspension as im considering doing the conversion.

If its an Australian built clubby then it left the factory with dry suspension. But the good thing about minis is that so many things are interchangalbe. Somebody could have swapped things along its life.

Just lift the bonnet and look at the corners of the bulk head / firewall near the clutch and brake master cylinders. If there is rubber hoses coming out of the subframe towers then it is wet. If there is none then it is dry. Simple

Dont get confused with heater hoses which go through the firewall.

i would if i lived in ipswitch because thats where the car is.how do you tell if its australian built or imported?

Aussie built have 1/4 windows, imports just have one big windup window :wink:

Yes - from that photo - the car featured is an australian built clubman and the shot in the engine bay shows a dry suspension setup.
