Chong it might be obvious but is your alt. belt tight enough? Coz it has to be much tighter with the bosch units. If you can make the belt slip on the alternator puley by pressing it down and spining the pulley manualy then its not tight enough.

Hey mike, good question. I will check it again tonight but I got her started last night and the alternator was making around 14V so that's a relief. Kev tightenned it up for me when we installed it, it seemed ok at the time...

I think it could just a piss weak battery...

Duc, unfortunately the SU trick won't work for me, it's wasn't turning over let alone starting...
