I was going to make them, but I am lazy.
They are a piece of piss.
Trim them in a light-ish material to make it a bit more 'modern'

When i made mine i used MDF. At the front of the tank i used 3mm. and all of the other pieces including the two side's and the back board, behind the rear seat also the bottom of the boot ontop of the spare wheel i used 6mm. I bought the carpet from clark rubber, and i used kwik glue I think thats how you spell it, from bunnings.

Hey,
We make these, i have one almost exact to the 'S' type in my mini K with single tank.
We make them sit on top of the spare (for single tank mini's).
The corner that the 'S' twin tank sits on is covered.
I am sure we could the carpeted instead of 'S' trim
Andrew..
PM me for a price.....ill try not to shock. :D

When I made mine I got a bit too keen with the staple gun and forgot to use the contact adhesive!

It's not bad though, I kept it pretty tight with the stapling and unless you look for it you'd never know.

Here's what mine look like (used minifinity plans, 3mm (tank), 6mm (back & sides) & 9mm (base) MDF & car carpet from Bunnings)

Since I took these pics I also made up some carpeted cards to fit into the recessed bits on the inside of the boot lid just to finish it off.

As a slightly different idea I saw this following a link from mz.mini's post in the members gallery , http://www.aafabrications.com/bodykit.htm , they do some interesting other bits and pieces for mini's too .
