Hey all,
where can i get a waterproof fitted mini car cover from?? i saw them on ebay a while back on i think minisport1275's online store, but not 100% on it. Does anyone have a waterproof fitted mini car cover that they have on their mini??? would like to know if they are any good? im sick of the rain sprayin my car through the sides of the carport when the car is nice n dry n clean!!

The covers are custom made to suit your car in the USA to the material of your choice so allow a couple of months. The are made from different fabrics - using a fabric lets the car "breathe" in order to let it dry out if wet unlike the plastic super cheap covers.

Be carefull with a waterproof cover, they sound like a great idea, but they have been known to trap water in. I.E they need to come off frequently to ensure their's no trapped moisture causing rust

I got the maximum outside protection one from minisport. It lasted about two months before cracking up in the sun. They kindly replaced it but the company in the UK that they come from said maybe the conditions are worse here! Now I have a cover to keep the cover out of the sun, not very practical. I will have a look at the other suggestions above too.

i will need one for when the mini is painted and sittying in teh shed, but not for a few months dont want it to stick to anything

Correct. The one I have is made from a goretex like material that's produced by 3M, I've had it for over a year and it's stood up to the elements very well.

Flute, how much was the maximum outside protection one from minisport?? is it waterproof and breathes???? ie air flows inside still. wat was the price for it??? i cant remember

Speedy, is that 3M one suited for minis, like does it have a tight fit?? where did you get it from and $$$$?

Perfect fit for roundnose, with the elastic edges going over the bottom of the bumper bars. Cost depends on the material you choose (the top of the range stuff that they use on the Ford Perfomance Racing cars was around $400), to order one you call the guys directly on the website.

I have one that works perfectly. Keeps all the elements away from the mini. Doesn't trap water inside. Takes no time at all to cover the car with it. In fact its as easy as pushing a button and driving in and pushing the button again.
It even has a bar fridge in it....hmmmm beer!

it might be better to tie a tarp on the carport posts as a
wall that way there is nothing touching your car and rubbing
the paint work

I think it was $240 or so, they have them on ebay, there are a few levels to choose from, they do breath. They are a better shape for a roundie than a clubby though. It was good until the sun got to it and in a few months it was useless. It was designed for outside use so it was dissapointing.

i thought it was around $200+ a lil pricey i think but ill keep looking around.

ive already got one side of the carport covered from post to post (the sun used to come in on that side all morning, and the rain of course too).....but the problem is with one of the sides of the car port is the house (only two posts on the whole carport which has the covering on it already) and so its difficult to cover the side that i want to. any ideas?
ill get a pic of it if it will help?
