im using hypatec 60+ pistons in mine so far with 6psi boost and no troubles, bearings are just your normal bearings. the only thing that is really different is the compression and cam (dont want a massive cam).

anyway a bit of an update hadnt done much this week as i was waiting for my carbide burrs to arrive so i could grind the inside of the pipe as i went along. They finally came today so managed to get a little more done.

also had a little play with my tig tday and managed to weld some alluminium without it melting into a ball :)

oh and about a kit maybe one day but deffinatly not for a while , wait till this is all sorted and no bugs in it. wouldnt want any problems. Also they would be alot of parts to change or source for it as the manifold is just one of many items needed, you would need a sutable high pressure pump + regulator ,new exhaust , Metro turbo carbie + manifold + plenium and the turbo air filters things like that.

looking great ben, will be a missile with all the new gear mate.

That boost controller is regarded as one of the best on the market and will hold boost awsome, and bring it on alittle earlier too.

another update,

i was original going to buy a new garrett Gt15 but after some reasearch and looking at them my hiflowed t2 should produce more hp. My T2 had seen better days had alot of play in all directions :o so was in need of a rebuild. The turbo was dropped of at GCG turbochargers in condell park (http://www.gcg.com.au/) and fully rebuilt and balanced.

next as i want to run an intercooler i dindnt want to use the standard plenum as it would make the piping messy as the pipes would have to go back across a hot engine. So an stainless steel copy was made by nic on turbominis.co.uk and sent out here. These copys have the plenum intake on the oposite side making intercooler piping much neater , also look nice :)

last in the pic is the computer that controls the spark The MEGAJOLT.

Got the manifold and dump pipe back today, was ceramic coated by a place called Turbo Exhaust Centre in Smithfield.

they did a great job and would recomend them to anyone doing the same.

They do look pretty good. What sort of price are we looking at for what you had done there?
Cheers
