i think the issue is
class F and class G give points to the gbs (overall trophy)

i think they give as much points as the mini classes, and theres 2 non mini classes so it can and has made a big difference determining the winner of the gbs.
In addition there is one mini club which prohibits the use of non mini derivative vehicles in competition under its banner.
true, but you have to be able to drive to win GBS points. how many drivers can drive a rear wheel drive car that is bigger and heavier than a mini, FASTER than all but the top 10 drivers (this year) GBS is a nice thing to win, but the motorkhana is a drivers competiton.
In relation to a club not allowing members to compete under the banner, it makes me laugh, as a CAMS affliated clubs allow you to run your car, the club can say you can't run a non mini, but they sure as hell can't stop you either. there is no legal stand point for a club to do so. I personally wouldn't join a club that tells me what i can and can't do and that I HAVE to register early.
It's about the people who love mini's, not the love of the competition.
All this has been posted last year in the Hay thread and will be posted again next year too. so maybe, just maybe the knockers will eventually realise that it's not going to change. There the rules, complain to the orgainsers if you don't like it.
