pulled apart four subframes so far got six to go (need room for my new toy)do i bash the living daylights out of the hydro units to get them out of there homes

NO you rotate them a bit after liberally spraying WD40 up in there. They have a bayonet lug setup similar to a fuel cap. :wink:

Well the usual place they can go is the hose where it fits onto the bag.
But this can be fixed- see Todd Miller's site http://www.austinamericausa.com/ and scroll down to technical advice.
Somebody on here fixed some recently, I'll look for the pics I saved....

I've never had one go, so never tested one. As an engineer I'd put an air hose onto it at 120psi whilst it's in the subby and pour water in there. If there's bubbles around it you have a problem. :wink:
