hi, i'm woundering how to seal the shafts. i know that hiff have special seals but i carn't get any info on hs4 1"1/2 carbys. machine a grove in the shaft each side and putting in a rubber o-ring or a special o-ring for the friction. will this work.

You will constantly be changing the seals.
not a very good carby for sealing boost in

Put weber bearings on throttle shafts,stops air leaks and shafts will never wear again...P.M me if you want to see pics of some installed..

Mines got bearings on them and its a old trick that used to be done years ago,not sure on size, but they fit with a bit of machining on carb body.

On as HS type the body is very thin...
i have seen it done but i thought weber bearings were too big

This is on a twin setup and has 2 bearings each side of throttle shafts..cheers[/img]
