Sorry for the misunderstanding i should have been a bit more specific, i ment road wheels which i belive are 12".

Also what wheel do you have as a spare that will fit under the larger fuel tank?

I was tossing up which wheel you meant but got it wrong.. :?

I have 12" road wheels on the LS and the spare is also a 12" but I have made a boot shelf like the pic below.. Since this photo was taken I have fitted a 35ltr tank and the spare still fits in ok..

You mean 1275 LS.

The original 12" steel wheel will still fit in boot under the bigger tank (tanks are shaped to take the spare).

G'day Scott.. I heard a rumour you had been run out of town but I guess that rumour I started wasn't true after all..

If Toasted if referring to a 1275 LS then I will take back all that I have written and posted about this subject... :?

You can see the original wheels here:

Basically they are a steel 12" rim with a hubcap that fits on and is retained by the wheel nuts.

The original tyres were 145/70-12. If you fit common 145/12 the spare won't fit in the boot, unless you downsize the battery...

hey heres the original wheels and caps off the my LS1275, theres also a boot shot showing the performance minilite, its a 12x5 with 145/70R12
its a pretty snug fit, like it sits nicely in there and looks like it should be there but it is still quite tight, u cant fit anything between the tire and fuel tank (tank is larger one)

Ive tried to put one of my 12x5 wheels in there and it didn't fit really well. What profile tyre is that?

thats the same steel rim that i have in my boot i was wondering and thought it would have been wheel like the S model.

Anyway thanks again and ill be using that rim i have as my spare unless i make the boot floor deeper.

THANKS ALL!
