Hi all

I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on assembling these suckers?

Is there a trick to greasing em up?

Is there a way of knowing that my balls are no good?

And lastly has anyone ever replaced the inner boots with the drive shafts still in?
It looks like I could maybe squeeze them over the knobly bits and then maybe squish the cage through?

The inner boots seem to be ok I brought new ones with everything else so I probly should put em in.

If not they will be posted for sale, sans locking strips and grease.

Just knock the CV off.

You can take all of your "balls" out of the cage and the slide the cage off. Dont bother trying to get the knobbly bit off unless you have access to one of the special tools or a soft drift because you will probably just damage it and not actually achieve anything.

Have a look at your inner boot before you tear it off so you can see how the inner boot goes. Basically slide it on to the shaft inside out and fix it to the shaft (a decent zip tie will do if you dont get given the cv bands or have access to the tool.) And fold the large end of the boot over the little end that you have zip tied to the shaft. I am not sure if that will make sense but hopefully it does.

Then reassemble the other end of your d/shaft.

All done. geez the Gladwrap make the whole thing SO much easier. The wraping forces all the grease into the nookes and such and then it stops my balls from falling out. I have to crawl under and put the big end of the boots on so I will pull as much as I can out. I am not really worried if theres some left in there. Glad wraps probly a better lube than grease anyways.
