It ain't rocket science to connect a factory tacho.
There is a wire or two needed for the backlight (take off from existing), there is a wire that goes to the coil and there is another wire that goes somewhere else (won't say yet, I'm not 100% sure).

yea easy because the 3 gauge cluster is a 2 gauge with a clock or tacho screwed on the end.

you can swap the printed circuit board for one from a 3 gauge cluster, or you can wire the tacho up seperately.

Matt, you will need the 3 guage bracket, just give John at the mini king a call,(0246481233), he has a few of those hanging around.
