Hello all, i have two problem with the little car at the moments.

1st Brake: They make the car shake like mad, any idea what can cause that. I was thinking wheel alignments, but it's not that. Wrap disk....maybe!!!!

2nd: Is it normal to have intermittent windscreen wiper, i mean some time they work and sometime they don't

Any help greatly appreciated

Louis

Sounds like your discs are ready for replacement or a grind...warping generally causes that, you probably notice it more with speeds over 60kph.....

Wipers, well I am definately no electrical expert, but could be a bad earth, or could be internal.....will leave that for someone that knows more :D

Possibly warped discs, may even be out of round drums. More to the point when does it do it?

could be wiper switch or the motor requires re-winding/replacing but first will need to be tested.

The brake are really bad at high speed, make the car shake, but visually the disk look very good!!!

Doesn't take much run out to cause massive vibrations. If you get them machined you'll be surprised at how far out they may have been. I used to be amazed at some that I've done, the bit/stones (depending on what type of machining) would barely touch the disk at times, had to have several cuts to get them smooth again.

:? Is the car vibrating at high speeds (you can feel it through the steering wheel and or the seat and or the floor) or when you apply the brakes at high speed (above 60 km/h) there is a vibration and the brake pedal pulsates and or the steering wheel vibrates etc....??

jack the car up one side at a time (very safely of course) and shake the wheel to see if there is any movement up or down or forward and back.

You are looking for a loose wheel bearing, worn ball joints, worn tie rod rubbers etc. Then if all is tight check the brakes. There should be any movement beyond normal suspension movement. It could also be a worn tie rod ball joint.
